Jamaican-born Sandi Morais is the author of Vegan Recipe for Life cook book. She is a graduate from Florida International University, and she also attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Sandi studied Food Styling with Chef Johnny Rivers, former Disney's Executive Chef, and the Food Combination with Dr. Aris LaTham, The Father of Gourmet Raw Living Food Cuisine. She is the Brand Ambassador for Stifinefood Italian Vegan Products.
Sandi was the VIP Chef for the 2018 Orlando Vegan Festival, and she was the private Chef for the owner of La Vie Wellness Center. She also taught cooking classes at the center as well. Chef Sandi has demonstrated some of her tasty meals at the Jamaican Jerk Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Taste of Haiti Food Festival, the Tupperware and Central Florida Fair. She taught a series of cooking classes at Mt. Sinai Seventh-Day Adventist Church and she has prepared vegan meals for celebrities such as Grammy Award Reggae Band "Inner Circle." International Bellydance Artist Sadie Marquardt, and New York Artist Chakaia Booker.
Sandi was a featured guest on Afrotainment TV Comcast NBC"Journey with Gigi" and also a guest on Caribbean Rhythms Radio in Orlando, Florida. Her column Celebrate Healthy Cooking was featured monthly in Caribbean American Passport news magazine, and she was a contributor to the Malanikai "Dare to Speak your Mind" radio show 1570 WIGO Wellness Wednesdays.
Prior to being a Vegan Chef Sandi was the Physical Education teacher for Sunset Christian Academy in Miami, Florida. She co-produced and released two exercise videos and also published a health and fitness book. She also co-produced "Sandi's Workout" and "Reggae Muffins." a children's fitness show for WLRN TV Miami, Florida. Her workout program was featured in the Miami Herald and various local and national newspaper and magazines.
Sandi wrote Fitness Tips for Caribbean Today newspaper and Caribbean Contact newspaper in Miami, Florida. She was also a writer for Wow Magazine (Women of the Word) featuring various celebrities such as Melba Moore, Charlie Wilson, Billy Davis Jr and Marilyn McCoo, Attorney Willie Gary and the late Dick Gregory. Sandi also co-wrote, co-produced and directed an original musical with her partner Philip Michael Thomas titled "Sacha." The musical was produced in Miami, New York, Virginia and Orlando. Sandi has one daughter Kamla, who is an IFBB Figure-Pro champion and owner of G~KAMP Fitness in Tampa.
